Just got off the phone with ZTE technical support. They confirmed that there is no option to set a boot passcode. This code is used in conjunction with encryption. So I asked if the phone is even encrypted. He said yes. Guess I'll just have to take his word for it since this phone doesn't show that info. I wonder why that is? Every phone I've had has shown the encryption status plus given the option to encrypt the SD card. I'll be returning this phone since my work requires the boot passcode. What a miss for a "flagship".
