Sooo,
I bought a used vodafone moto g 1st gen naively expecting to have an easy sim-unlock available in the forums - maybe I haven't found it yet?
The online unlock code vendors I tried have refunded me saying they can't do my IMEI so I'm a bit stuck.
I flashed cyanogen hoping a new kernel would do the magic but I guess the simlock is in a different partition?
I see that a couple years ago http://ift.tt/2bRmzAU some were considering how the sim unlock modified the utag partitions. Does anyone know of further progress, information or solutions to sim unlock a moto g?
Or has anyone found a vendor that has successfully provided a UK vodafone sim unlock code?
P.S. Will I need to revert to the stock rom and kernel to use a sim unlock code?
