HTC One M9 doesn't unlock after restart

I restarted my HTC One M9 to see whether it was volume down and power button to get into the boot thingy menu, after that I turned on my phone again and tried to unlock it but as soon after I entered the password, it crashes and takes me back to the lock screen and the phone doesn't respond to touch, the navigation bar has only the back button in the center after that. The crash I see is something along the lines of com.android.system and I think it may be UI and since I can't unlock it, I can't access the files so I'm not sure how I'm going to get a screenshot on here
