Just wanted to share this.
I have both the vivo 5 and the Honor 5x.
First the build on the Vivo is far better, you can tell the Vivo is CNCed from a solid block where the Honor is not and the back is probably stamped and then the edges CNC machined.
The Blu Vivo 5 destroys the Honor 5x in terms of snappiness, even with CM 13 on the Honor. The stock Honor EMUI is really bad, bloated and super slow. Of course the Blu does have 3gb of ram, but I dont' think that matters on a lightly loaded device.
The finger print sensor is the best think about the Honor 5x and it does work very nicely.
The biggest disadvantage with the VIVO is that there is very little dev support and very little accessories available, you can get all kinds of cool cases and what not for the Honor, but hardly any for the VIVO or the GIONEEE S6 which it is based off.
The stock BLU software is very lightly skinned compared to EMUI and retains more stock android features like the recent apps and notifications. The honor tries way too hard to be like IOS...
The other issue with the BLU Vivo is they should have not bothered with the capacitive buttons, on the Gold Vivo you can barely see them even in normal light anyways and the on screen nav buttons really do
work much better.
