Experience with Real Wood Case for the S7 Edge

Hi,

Anyone purchased the real wood case from Cover-Up for the S7 edge? They have two different cases, the "slim-fitting "Snap Case" and tougher, more durable "Explorer Case". I am thinking about buying one of these and am therefore curious about experiences. Thanks.

unable to flash recovery on CRR-UL00

Hi all - I'm not entirely stupid, but I'm probably doing something basically wrong here. :)

I'm trying to convert my Chinese CRR-UL00 to something a bit more western, but still with dual SIMs, so converting it to Middle East/Africa model seems like a good idea. I'm not interested in root or even a custom recovery in the long term. I just want to change regions.

I have been trying to follow the instructions both here and elsewhere but am getting stuck early in the process. I've tried a bunch of different things so my phone may be in an odd state.

I have, I believe, unlocked the bootloader via DC-Unlocker. When I reboot into the bootloader (using adb reboot bootloader) I get a white screen with a header that says "Fastboot&Rescue mode", an Android icon, and "Phone Unlocked" in red underneath.

Attempting to flash a TWRP recovery.img using fastboot doesn't seem to have any effect, even though fastboot reports it has successfully transferred the image. Trying to boot into recovery - either using adb/fastboot or vol+/power keys results in the phone hanging at the Huawei logo at bootup. I've also tried to flash back a "stock" recovery.img. At no time have I been able to get the fastboot menu on the phone - it's either the white screen with no options, or the phone hanging at the Huawei logo.

Despite all this the phone will still operate normally! When operating normally the phone now reports its running CRR-UL00C00B172.

Any ideas what I'm doing wrong? What recovery.img should I use?

Is there any way to download and buy (for paid apps) those exclusive apps from other amazon or android devices? Replaced screen and touch buttons do not work on newest rom

I have replaced my screen and on latest stock rom the back and menu buttons do not work. If I dial *#2663# I see this:

Phone's Touch Key FW version: 0x12
Part's Touch Key FW version: 0x1a

If I press Touch Key update, I get a messages saying: "IC's F/W is higher than Bin's F/W.

If I flash this rom I9506XXUDOF2_I9506NEEDOG1_I9506XXUDOF2_HOME, the buttons work!

But now Phone's Touch Key FW version shows 0x10. The Part's firmware stays at 0x1a. If I update it to 12, it fails again. So it seems that the newest firmware includes something that disables the buttons, and it doesn't change the buttons firmware.

I have seen this before on a S4 9505. There I found this excellent fix in this thread: http://ift.tt/1XM9NWn

Flashing the Albe95_S6_Full_PORT_4-7b rom changes the firmware on Part's Touch Key FW version to 0x1c!

If I flash a new rom now, they both get changed to 0x12.

But how can I change Part's Touch Key FW version to 0x1c on a 9506? The rom I used for 9505 cannot be used on this phone!?!

Can anyone think of something I can try? Is there a rom for 9506 that does the same as Albe95 rom?

Bidirectional e-coupled technology for sharing battery charge between smartphones

I am currently getting interested to the topic of bidirectional e-coupled technology in order to allow battery charge sharing between smartphones in an inductive way. I know that there are some solutions for the smartphone-charging pad method but none for the smartphone-smartphone approach. I therefore guess that the critical issue is to make the smartphone be not only a receiver but also a host in this receiver/host model. But I have no clue. Anyone knows how can I develop this solution?

[help] [no recovery] [no firmware] [pc not detecting H815 G4]

A few months ago I were flashing a new Rom after I had problems with a CM13 Rom. I wiped the system and before I had chance to flash a new Rom TWRP crashed. I have tried to connect the H815 G4 to the pc to flash a new recovery or the KDZ recovery method, my device is not being detected at all by the laptop. I have tried different LG drivers but nothing.

Any help on this is much appreciated.

How to recover my CSC info?

Thank for reading this post.

After I have flashed my branded carrier Vodafone NL -> to the PHN firmware - everything went well. I could boot up set up my account, then when I started to set up my KNOX account, the problems began to appear.

First I could not sign in my KNOX account ... then perform a reinstall of KNOX but ran into an error message telling me "was not able to install because KNOX detected a custom binary" (Phone not rooted). So when I look into ODIN splash screen of the telephone KNOX warranty was ok 0 0x0000). However the letter "b" down below was turned from "0" into "1", this would mean that the binary was changed at some point (well yes, I just flashed to another stock rom).

Anyway, since I need KNOX for work, I had to flashed the Phone back to the Vodafone NL rom. By doing that I was able to get everything up and running again including KNOX. However, when I checked the information I saw that my CSC information was wiped away.

So my question is: I have the Vodafone NL Firmware, when I extract the 5 files, I see a CSC and HOME_CSC file. Is it safe to flash these files via ODIN? Or which files do I need to have in order to get back my CSC information?

OTG controller/gamepads do not work

Hi,

I am enjoying my HTC M8, but I've got one issue, OTG support seems to be limited. USB drives, mouses and keyboards work fine, but for some reason I can't get a gamepad/controller to work. They show no response at all. The lights turn on, but that's it. However, it was detected and working (after creating driver) with USB/BT Joystick Center. So I thought I might be missing a driver, but without succes. I have tried multiple .ko and .kl files and both my Logitech Cordless Rumblepad 2 and Thrustmaster GPX LightBack controllers. They work fine on other Android devices and of course in Windows, both platforms plug and play.

I am using a custom ROM which maybe is the problem, but I had the same issue with my old rom. I have never tried it with the stock rom and my device is S-ON. I asked the delevoper of the rom but he has no idea.

Anything I'm missing or doing wrong? Thanks in advance! :confused:

Problems with new dot view case

Hi guys,

I just bought a new dot view case for my One M8. However, it is not working. It is not the genuine case of HTC, but i have seen this one working on a friends phone. After some research, it seems that dot view has some problems after the 6.0 update, is this correct? My android version is 6.12.161.4 (stock). Do you have any idea if i can solve this?

Unable to install gapps in cm13

hi friends,
I am using moto g2 2014 XT1068 on android 6.0 marshmallow Base band version "MSMM862BP_1032.116.99.00R" and build number "cm_tittan-userdebug 6.0.1 MHC19J6736&&deac" i recently unlock the bootloader after that i install twrp recovery then install cm13 roam all are successfully intalled in my phone.
But the issue is when i install stock gapps platform ARM 6.0 via twrp recovery interface install option then it will installation failed due to "error 70" and said MD5 not found after wife data and etc it will show "error 20".
kindly help me to install gapps i"ll be tankfull to you guys .
i download gapps from "opengapps.org"

Company wants to wipe my phone

I currently have an assignment at a company that takes security seriously, and rightfully so. One of the disadvantages is that, to access the Exchange server to sync my calendar & read my mail, I need to give them the rights to wipe my phone from a distance and such niceties.

I was wondering if something like MultiROM could be helpful in this case? Set up one ROM for limited use that they can wipe if necessary, and another ROM for real use. The question now is: is the data partition shared? If yes and they wipe my data, then I still lose everything.

What would you advise? I'm currently doing a "manual sync" but that's no fun & very error prone.

Completely restore my phone to original manufacture state

When I received my phone it had L29C432B152. It is an European version with 3gb/32gb.
I then decided to follow a guide here: http://ift.tt/1U7I7Nx Which made my phone L29C900B162.

I want now revert my phone to how it was original. I downloaded L29C432B152 full firmware and successfully tried to flash it. When I go to settings I see Version NXT-L29C432B152
The problem is that when I enter the number * # * # 2846579 # * # *
Veneer Informations > Version Info it says
Hardware version NEXT_L29_VN2
Bootloader version NXT-C900B152_FASTBOOT
Kernel version: NXT-C900B152_BOOT
AP Version: NXT-C900B152_SYSTEM
Compilation times are 29 Jan. So My question is, how can I revert bootloader and Kernel version etc to C432 as well?

S6 usb problem

after 6.0.1 update! Sometimes phone will charge but it wont connect to pc/otg wont work but when i play around with MTP+ADB in *#0808#, reverse was the case s6 wont charge but instead it will be recognised by pc that usb connected not recognised and otg will work!!!!! always vice versa. right now my battery is empty and still wont charge!

Notification Bar and Navigation Bar Missing.

I rooted my Huawei Y6 SCL-U31 using kingroot and installed SoftKeyZ Root to change the Navigation bar. Unfortunately, I forgot to read that it required busybox to work and I accidentally applied the theme which resulted in a reboot and my navigation bar and notification bar missing. Also my volume keys are not working. I tried many times by wiping cache, doing factory reset and re installing SoftKey Z Root and this time with the busybox but still no good. Any idea on how to revive the device?

I bought the Pixel C few days ago. I'm in China , I haven't got it yet. It's till in transit. I have read some people have this issue. It really worries me because I don't get to RAM it since I'm in China. If anything like this happens then I will have a bricked device.

My question is if I unlock the bootloader as soon as I get it. If this issue occurs, am I able to sideload the factory image to unbrick it?

[Solution][EASY] Say NO to 'Running out of Storage' - Gain Space in Internal Storage

Please help!! I tried to install a 3.x.x firmware ROM via TWPR 2.8.6.1 while my phone was still have 2.x.x firmware. The installation itself was succesful but when i tried to boot system it kept booting into bootloader screen. My phone is still S-ON and software is 2.11.425.7. :(:(

Double tap lockscreen notifications

Hey guys, I was wondering if there was a stock feel rom anywhere for the S5 that allows you to access lockscreen notifications with a double tap rather than the weird tap and swipe way of doing it. What phone should I buy??

So, I want to buy a new phone. but I don't want to spend too much money.. I usually spend around 200$
all I want to be able to do with my phone is listening to music and making photo's( I know sometimes with 5mp and good autofocus you can make quality photo's, as with an 8mp without any autofocus it can sometimes still be hard to get it sharp..)
but also I'd like to have some ROM's available for in the future when I get used to my phone.. :p
can someone advice me on this? I tried looking for phones in the shop and then comparing them with the forums here, but I'm never sure if I really made a good comparison or looked at everything..

MM 6.0.1 Xposed Update!

So, i recently have tried flashing Xposed on the MM 6.0.1 on G920P a.k.a Sprint S6

I have root and recovery, but Xposed doesnt seem to comply with me.

It would go from the Galaxy S6 Boot Menu startup to black screen and bootloop back to the original BootMenu or screen.
NO LED cycles nothing, but i can access Download Mode and Recovery But Updating Nor Uninstalling doesn't do anything to the rom, it just keeps boot looping unless i Flash the Stock back into place.

Google location services / google play services

Hi guys,

i try to keep my phone free from google apps but due to requirements of some apps this is not 100% possible. some apps require at least google maps framework. one does not need to install gapps for that. instead you can just copy 2 files to your system (http://ift.tt/1VyHlc5).

i was wondering, if there is a similar possibility to install google location services. again, this is a requirement of some apps like geohash droid. if there is none, i am willing to install google play services, but can anyone explain to me what this software/app does? does it connect to google / phone home / whatever? do i have to register an gmail account in order to activate it?

S7 Edge stock contacts app not working without google contacts storage!

I Just got the s7 edge two days ago, prior to getting this phone, I had no experience with rooting, or root apps. I looked into rooting, and found out how useful it can be so today I decided to root for the first time. First thing I installed titanium backup made a backup of all apps and started deleting away any duplicate google apps that I wasn't using. Gmail, Play Videos, books, etc etc, nothing major I thought. I saw contacts storage by google, and right above that I had the stock contacts app, so I thought I wouldn't need it. I uninstalled google contacts storage and my phone right away started acting up, giving me the error, "android.process. acore". I have looked all over google for answers with other phones, and tried everything but nothing has worked.

I have tried:

• Erasing contacts data and cache
• Reinstalling google contacts
  Actually it gets stuck on the installation cursor when I click install, and titanium back up won't let me perform another operation BUT when i reboot my phone the app seems to have been installed however the error comes up again. At first I thought there was something wrong with my app, so I tried to reinstall another app and same thing, it got stuck, I suspect the issue is HERE, but I have no clue how to get past this issue. I tried to buy the pro version of titanium back up and I went into prerferences and changed AUTO/direct to AUTO/indirect but still the same issue.
  
• LAST OPTION: to flash a stock rom for s7 edge (couldn't find one though)

When contacts storage is uninstalled there is no error but I cannot sync contacts from ANY other account, like my microsoft account. I can't even add contacts into my contacts book manually when it's uninstalled. I haven't tried much when it is installed because the rate that the "anroid.process.acore" error comes up make it fking impossible to do anything on the phone! :mad:

I am really hoping someone on here can help me. I have been looking all night for a solution, browsing forums, but nothing has worked for me. If anyone can link me to a stock rom for s7 edge, I will have to just try that.

Has anyone had any experience with this item? I've only heard people get the rk3188 with all the buttons that looks like the stock mercedes command unit but I'm really drawn to this because of the bigger screen. I believe the processor is newer but slower in this device however? And I am not sure of any reliability at all because I don't know of anyone that's used it. Custom ROM with best camera?

Hi all,

Since December I'm using a Redmi Note 2 Prime. I like the phone, but not a fan of Miui.
I tried one of the CM roms on here a few months ago, which was a big improvement in user experience for me. Only the poor image quality and slow focus speed was a big let down.
Is there any non-miui rom out there that equals the stock miui camera's image quality and focus speed?

If you can't pull the battery...

Slightly odd question - I have an S5 and flash ROMS. If something goes wrong and I get a boot loop or a slightly dead phone, I just pull the battery and all is well. What do you do on an S7 or S6 etc, where you can't get at the battery? I assume you don't just wait until the battery goes flat! :)

Galaxy s4 freeze when tapping the backside

Hi! English is not my primary language, so please bear with me.
I got my hands on a broken galaxy s4 (shattered screen). I replaced the screen but now I'm having a very wierd problem. The phone works like it should but if I take it and "gently" tap it to the back of my hand, it freezes and after a while it shuts itself down. Any tips where I should start looking? I'll post pictures later and try to explain the problem and what I have done trying to fix it.

Failed OTA update MarshMallow XT1068

My phone is Moto G 2014 XT1068 Dual SIM with 5.02 Lollipop. The phone is unlocked but unrooted. I received the OTA notification for upgrading to MM. The process failed. Recovery mode was "no command available" (in Italian). So I installed TWRP recovery instead. The OTA prompt aimed at updating to MM reappared. After have Launched the updating process, the phone entered in TWRP recovery displaying the following error message:

phone stuck on boot logo screen everytime..

my phone is gionee m5 lite with lollipop 5.1
i root it with kingroot and then install supersu
after it i use flashfire to flash a xposed.zip but after flashfire phone ends up , phone reboot and stuck on gionee logo screen
then i flash frameware to put phone in working condition..
Now again i root it and send su to system, but phone again stuck on gionee screen ,,
i face this problem twice after root my phone,, may there was a security check in phone which detect root or somethingh else..
also when it stuck on gionee screen how can i able to put phone into working condition because i do hard reset from recovery but still stuck on gionee screen and i didn't want to flash frameware again and again..

[HELP] No service after flashing CM13 on LG LS990 (spark) in China

Hey guys,

So I was running cloudy 1.2 rom on my LG LS990 and decided to upgrade it to CM13. Using TWRP I backed up my rom and then wiped up dalvik cache, system, data and cache before installing the latest release of CM13 downloaded from official cyanogen website and the corresponding ggaps.

The installation went without any issue but I have no signal so no call/text and no data. However I checked the APN information and they correspond to China Unicom APN.

Do you guys can help me and suggest some solution? I really like how smooth and fast the cm13 is compared to the older version I had so I kinda want to keep it and I feel like fixing this is not a hard thing but I just don't know how...

HDMI-CEC RPi2 with Kodi seems to conflict with Chromecast

My RPi2/Kodi goes nuts when I turn off the TV+AVR. It constantly sends some signals that turn on the AVR, turn off the AVR and the Standby LED from my TV goes crazy, like it is turning on and then immediately off again. There is some fighting going on over something.

Setup: Philips TV connected to Sony AVR that has Chromecast as HDMI1 and RPi2 running latest stable OpenELEC connected to HDMI2. CEC is enabled in Kodi with everything on OFF or IGNORE (like auto power on/off).

Problem started a few weeks ago or so. I had the OSMC Jarvis build running when it came out without a problem and suddenly the problem started happening. It's the same with the latest OpenELEC (Isengard and Jarvis builds) now.

If I disconnect the Chromecast this "CEC command fire" from Kodi stops. I had this setup running now for 6+ month and it worked without major problems.

Anyone know what is going on here? I asked in the Pulse-Eight/libcec Github but no one answered there.

Any idea where to get a specific part of the Z3C Bezel ?

Hi,

My Z3C must've randomly lost part of the bottom bezel at some point - I still don't understand why and how.
Phone was always in a TPU bumper case so it can't fall off or out. Must've gotten loose and dropped at some point when I removed the bumper to remove the sim card. :(


The part that's missing is the edge part between bottom bezel and SIM card flap.

Phone was just sent in for repair for another issue(vibration more had a loose connection) and I got it back without issues..but that part of the bezel is still missing. Didn't mention it when it was repaired in fear of Sony denying a warranty repair.

Fixing it would be 5s job with super glue....so any idea where and how to get that part ?
Did lots of googling but couldn't find anything.
Only other option I could think of would be buying a broken/dead Z3C and ripping that bezel piece off.

HFP/HSP bluetooth profile issues on MM D855

Since yesterday I am having a strange problem with the bluetooth profile to make calls (I think HFP - "Hands-Free Profile" or HSP - "Headset Profile"), does not play the audio call and my interlocutor can't hear me. Even the accessories that also support Advanced Audio Distribution Profile (A2DP) for audio playback does not work anymore, but if I disable call profile, then the audio (Play Music, TuneIn Radio, Spotify, etc...) is correctly reproduced.
Before I never had this problem, my smartphone is a G3 D855 32GB / 3GB with stock rooted MM ROM v30B.
Any suggestion to solve problem? :confused:

I want to fix the speakers

Upon using this device for few days, I found out how bad the speakers sound. The highs are extremely muffled out. I also found why it sounds this bad. There is a significant bass boost effect already applied, and you can't un-bass-boost it. You can check this in the equalizer settings in Google Play Music. In fact, after I messed around in the eq app I downloaded, turning the highs way up, it sounds significantly better. But still, it can't give the same effect as reverting the bass boost effect. That's why I want to know if there is a way to override the factory settings and revert back the bass boost effect. And yes, I don't mind the root methods.

How to fix battery life problems in stock rom or fix speakerphone echo in cm 12.1?

Hey everybody just bought 2 gs5's from sprint and using them on boost mobile. Everything has been good except battery life. I hear its the android 5.0 update that ruined the gs5's battery life. I tried flashing a bunch of different roms to fix the battery life issue but they all seem to be clockwork mod clones. Once I found that out, I flashed the official version of cm12.1 from their website for the s5 with a boost mobile apn fix. Everything works as it should I'm getting lte and fast performance.

One problem, there's an echo on the other caller when using speakerphone. Only they can hear what it's really doing, but it's still annoying. I pretty much talk on speakerphone exclusively I would like to know if there's a fix for it. I do not have any gapps installed except the bare minimum.

2nd question is, if this is not an option, how to get better battery life on the gs5 sprint? Is downgrading to 4.4.4 a good idea? or should I flash moar 7.0? That's the only rom I haven't tried pretty much. I have tried exodus, blisspop, fusion, cm12.1, cm13 they all seem to be a variant of cm12.1 (except cm13) so I am using the official cm12.1 release (no nightly).

[TUTORIAL] How to unbrick Nexus 7 using NvFlash

Hey everyone.

After recently hard-bricking my Google Nexus 7 2012 (nakasi/grouper) I managed to unbrick it using NvFlash. As the official guide only taught us how to back up the blob files, I had to experiment a bit.
So, after only a few hours of messing with NvFlash commands, I found a solution to unbrick the Nexus 7 by reflashing the bootloader.

IMPORTANT! This guide requires that you have already made a back up of your device's blob files by using AndroidRoot.Mobi's tutorial, located here: http://ift.tt/1WEG7dF

Step 1: Download and Install the APX Drivers
From a powered off state, connect your hard-bricked Nexus 7 to your computer, then hold down the power and volume-up buttons until your computer recognizes your device.
Download and extract the Universal APX Drivers package from the download section below. Open the Windows Device Manager, right-click on anything that resembles your Nexus 7 or an APX device and click Update Driver.
Instruct Device Manager to search for drivers in the recently extracted driver folder.
If Windows displays an error while installing the drivers, you may need to disable Driver Signature Enforcement via Windows Startup Settings.

Step 2: Set Up NvFlash
Download and extract the NvFlash package from the download section below. Open a terminal window in the recently extracted NvFlash folder. Ensure your Nexus 7 is in APX mode (power and volume-up).
Type "wheelie --blob blob.bin" without the quotes. If necessary, replace "blob.bin" with the location of your Nexus 7's blob.bin file.
NvFlash should now load, and the Google boot logo should appear on your Nexus 7.

Step 2.1 OPTIONAL: Boot the system
To test NvFlash's connection with your Nexus 7, type "nvflash -r --download 5 eks.img" without the quotes. If necessary, replace "eks.img" with the location of your Nexus 7's blob.bin file. Your Nexus 7 should reboot into the ROM you previously had installed. Just keep in mind this is a temporary way of bypassing the bootloader to boot the system; the device is technically still bricked.

Step 3: Flash the bootloader
Type "nvflash -r --download 4 bootloader.img" without the quotes. Replace "bootloader.img" with the location of the bootloader found in any Nexus 7 stock factory image. NvFlash will flash the bootloader and boot to Android.

Step 4: Access the bootloader
By now, your Nexus 7 should be unbricked. However, to be on the safe side, I recommend that you reboot into the bootloader and flash whichever factory image you find to be the most stable.

Congratulations! If you completed the above steps and are able to access the bootloader, you have successfully unbricked your Nexus 7. I recommend that in order to prevent hard-bricks in the future, make as many backups of your "blob.bin" and "eks.img" files as you can. Keep them on multiple disks, upload them to the cloud, share them with your Facebook friends or even burn them to a CD. You cannot complete the above steps without them.

Cellular Data Restrictions for specific apps in Android 6

Hi... I'm new to this forum and I'm new to this, but was told this was the place to find an answer to what I was looking for. In short, I want to restrict cellular data on specific apps, for example YouTube. I want my daughter to be able to use YouTube on Wi-Fi, but not cellular. This is and has been a feature on iPhone for years. I was under the impression that Android 6 has this feature, but I can't find any confirmation on this. I know I can use for example 'no root firewall' (her phone will not be rooted), however the issue lies with when you pull down the 'drop down screen', it shows the VPN/firewall. If you click on it, you can disable it. I want to avoid this from happening. (Even if I use an 'applock' type app on a no root firewall, you can still disable the restriction from the drop down screen)

I hope I explained this correctly. Bottom line, I want to be able to pick and choose what apps have access to cellular data? Can the latest version of Android do this and if not, what do you suggest?

Soft brick on every custom rom

Hi guys.
Well I am very confused about this. I don't know how to fix it and it locks like there is not a alot of people who had the same problem.

I rooted the device, backed up drm keys, unlocked bootloader.
So and now if I want to install custom roms it installs them but as soon as I reboot it is soft bricked.

[GUIDE][Difficulty: Intermediate] Poor man's Chromecast Audio with voice control

My first guide so if not everything is clear, let me know :o
My tablet screen broke a few days ago (a bottle of tequila fell on it) but the device itself works just hunky dory. Together with the fact that I really want to get a Chromecast Audio (but I am too cheap and I'm guessing that the two current versions will be merged into one as a Chromecast 3): enter the Poor Man's Chromecast Audio.


What it does: voice activate music on a remote device through Google Now
Example: (speaking to my phone) OK Google - Nexus play Artic Monkeys
- the tablet starts playing Artic Monkeys
Example: (speaking to my phone) OK Google - Nexus play the wolves
- the tablet starts playing the wolves (by Ben Howard)

Prerequisites

• Tasker (duh)
• Pushbullet
• Autovoice - paid Tasker plugin, there is a lite version but the price definitely worth it (also the dev is a really helpful guy)
• Autoshare - same as above
• Extra Android device (mine is a tablet which didn't accept any touch screen input, so I needed an USB mouse + keyboard as well)

Instructions
I'll be using remote (where you insert the command - in my case the phone) and player (which plays the music - in my case the tablet)

1. Remote

S7 Edge Mic/Phone quality

I'm having this weird issue where my phone is picking up sporadic wind noises (it sounds like someone blow wind into the mic) as soon as I stop talking (usually lasted a sec)

It happens almost everywhere except for a dead quiet place (on the roads, in a shopping mall)

I did a loopback using *#028# and confirmed it myself listening to myself talking while walking on the street.

Both my mics are working fine.

Is it a noise cancellation algorithm problem? My old Note 3 doesnt seem to have this problem unless I am standing right in front of a standing fan.

I'm not sure what my problem is....

I have a Verizon Samsung galaxy S3 mini (golden)
Stupid me forgot to back up my stock Rom before I tried to flash recovery. I flashed it and now it won't even go into recovery and when I reset my phone I get to the Samsung loader and I get the custom lock. I'm stuck and not sure what to do.

Cannot unlock bootloader on Redmi note 3 (Сouldn't verify device)

The steps I followed:-
Step 1. Download the Mi Unlock app to PC, and sign in with your Mi Account;
Step 2. Shut down your phone manually, and hold Volume down key and Power button to enter Fastboot mode;
Step 3. Connect your phone to PC using USB cable and click "Unlock"
Unlocking process stops at 50% and shows "Сouldn't verify device. Current account is different from the account info on the device".
P.S I didn't send any unlock request to xiaomi but my mi account is eligible for unlocking (as per Mi unlock tool).
I'm a diamond member.
Using redmi note 3 snapdragon variant(India)
Also signed in to i.mi.com and verified the device.
My sim card is activated and synced with mi account
anybody who solved this problem?

Z1C Strange Touchscreen Problem

Hi guys,

Since a few days, I have a very strange touchscreen problem on my Z1C. On a popup dialog box, I cannot press the "OK" or "Cancel" button in portrait mode. If the app is capable of displaying in landscape mode and the screen rotates, I now can select these buttons. Also, in the phone dialer window, I cannot select numbers 4, 5 and 6 in Portrait mode but it is O.K. in landscape mode.

I used the service menu to check the touchscreen and the there is an area where I cannot write (where the numbers 4, 5, and 6 are). But in other apps and also the touchscreen diagnostics in the settings area, it appears that I can touch the screen everywhere.

I have tried several different firmware versions also latest 5.1.1, with and without root and also older kitkat 4.4 but the problem remains the same.

Any pointers?

Gallery view : no rotations of pictures

Good morning,

I had since the beginning with my new phone this problem : Pictures won't rotate in my gallery view!
I have read forums and saw that it was a software issue related to those who are using NOVA launcher.
this solution for the S6 edge is working!

The fix I applied was super simple.

Previously, gallery did not rotate when launched from a folder on the nova home screen.

When I moved the shortcut out of a folder, to occupy just one spot on my home screen, it started to rotate.

Also, launching gallery from the app drawer always was able to rotate as well .

Put a shortcut again to Nova launcher and It works!

Xposed modules not showing changes even if they're active

So i am running blisspop 4.0.3 on my Oneplus One and just installed xposed framework on it. I downloaded a couple of modules like the XGEL settings and activated them followed by a reboot. But no matyer how many settings i try, the module doesn't change anything on my google now launcher. I tried some other modules too and they failed to show any changes too. Idk what is happening and would really like to find the problem here.
I am on xposed framework version 80.

Moto G failed to boot-up

hey guys.
so recently i installed an app called "kingroot" which helps enhance performance by rooting. Today my device ran out of battery and when i connected it to a charger, bootloader screen automatically appears and shows: 'boot-up failed'. I have not installed any custom ROM and the device was running stock ROM (6.0).
To be honest, I am not a developer and have no clue about this. all options shown in bootloader lead to a dead end. The battery won't charge and connecting it to my pc wasn't helpful either. All I want to do is run my stock rom, which doesn't seem to be happening.

NFC Tags to toggle MTP connection on Android

I got a bunch of NFC tags with a couple of things in mind to do with them. One thing I often do is turn the MTP storage on and off but I can't find a task for that.
Considering I'm using Android I figured I could toggle any of the options available in settings, which is reasonable to think so. Even if I had to root, although I see no reason to root.

Settings > Storage > ⋮ > USB computer connection > Media Device (MTP)

I want to be able to tap on a tag to toggle MTP connection on and off.

LG G4 MM having WiFI Problems or is it just me? Any fixes?

Since upgrading to Marshmallow I have been having several issues. Battery life, bluetooth, standby time. But the thing bothering me the most is how slow WiFi is I have 300mbps internet from TWC which is flawless and more than capable of handling video playback and network browsing. I have a dual band router 2ghz and 5ghz I have tried both of them on my G4 and they're both the same sometimes webpages take forever to load and so do YouTube videos (They never buffer they just take long to load). I went on YouTube and also searched online and it seems other people are also having these issues. Anyone know what might be causing it or any fixes? My home internet is just fine all my other devices preform excellent and I do daily power cycles to my router to keep it healthy.

Cyanogenmod update borked my Moto G

Hi all,
Rooted and installed cyanogenmod some while ago and had go into the habit of updating it every month or two. In December, I updated (20151202) and it seems to have borked the phone - I am getting the "unfortunately google play services have stopped" issue.

I have been searching for an answer for some time, but there seems to be a much deeper issue:

- I cannot remove play services, but more to the point, neither can I factory reset
- I have tried reflashing, but neither the bootloader nor recovery seem to work properly
- cannot clear/wipe data or cached
- cannot factory reset
- cannot re-flash
the android robot image flashes, but disappears quickly

I have tried re-flashing recovery (both cyan and twrp) but although adb reports everything ok, on the screen I see a note saying "mismatched partition size (recovery)"

I may be doing something stupid - any help gratefully received
