Nook Simple Touch. Unable to perform factory recovery

Hi there,

I rebooted my rooted NST and it froze.
After trying every suggestion I found, it unfroze but only to get stuck into a different screen..
The device is not recognized by my PC (Linux) and when I plug it to charge, the green light is always on. Here is what I did the time it got unstuck: I inserted a microSD with NookManager to perform a factory reset, then plugged it into an external battery (out 2.4 A). This time the light turn orange and it loaded Nook Manager, but after selecting factory recovery and removing the card (when requested) it got stuck again, it kept showing: "Exiting... Please eject your SD card etc etc." I tried again and the same thing happened. But now it doesn't even boot from the card and when I plug it the light is always green again :/
Any ideas??
(I also opened it and unplugged the battery several times)

Can't send texts - Do I need to reset my radio software?

Hello,

I cant send texts which is rather annoying.
I can receive text without any problems and call or take a call normally.

I used to have 4.1.2 stock, upgraded to Omni Rom Marshmellow (6.0.1 or so) but I didnt like it.
Now I use Temasek 6.0 V 8.8 and both roms have the same issue.

Heres how it goes:
texts worked in the beginning of Omni Rom but someday it just stopped.
I tried Signal (my main sms program) and the stock text program. both just said it didnt work and that's about it.
Now I just flashed to Temasek 6.0 V8.8 and I still have the same problem: neither Signal nor text app can send any texts but receiving is fine.
I'm totally clueless why this happened and need some help.

Maybe I can help you with some information:
I have a german GTN 7100 with a german mobile phone contractor.
My Baseband version: N7100XXUFND3
IMEI: I have a normal IMEI
IMEI SV is 01
My network is vodafone.de
service: voice and data available (works fine after I chose the right APN)

Need help flashing a Windows Phone ROM

Hey everyone,
I'm currently trying to use THOR2 from the Windows Device Recovery Tool to flash a custom ROM to my Lumia 635. I'm trying to flash the 6351GB ROM so I can install Redstone but every time I try I get the same error script.
Detecting UEFI responder
Device is not in Lumia UEFI mode
Device mode get failed, mode is 1
Connection lost, trying to re-connect
Rebooting to the normal mode...
Rebooting from the WP/MMOS failed.
Operation took about 5.00 seconds.

THOR2_ERROR_TO_COMMUNICATE_WITH_DEVICE

THOR2 1.8.2.18 exited with error code 84102 (0x14886)
Anyone have any idea how to stop this error?

GT-I9300 IMEI problems

So I was just surfing the net and my s3 started flickering and shut down. After that I tried to turn it on but it was in an infinite start (bootloop) on the samsung logo. Went to recovery mode (stock, phone was never rooted) and saw that there was an efs problem (was saying failed to mount efs) so I cleared the cache and factory resetted the phone. Flashed it with odin ( I think it is an efs file) burt hthe big problem is that when the phone booted up I cannot make calls. So the imei lost. (It is 499****....). I will be very happy if someone helps me!

Thinking of getting the 16gb model if it is possible. Since the extra gig of ram doesnt really add to much performance.

Nexus 6 Shamu With Bell Canada Crashing When Trying To View Voicemails or R/S Calls

My title was abit too long, cause it was copied from a reddit post I made on Cyanogenmod's reddit. R/s means "Receive or Send"
I tried going to Cyanogenmod's Reddit, asking for help with this issue, but there was no luck at all, one user did respond to me and tried to help me out, but hasn't responded for the past 3 days. Looking around for more help, I was directed here to ask. If at all, I'm doing something wrong, can you please tell me.

Besides that, the reddit post is basically this:
"Please direct me in the correct area, at the moment I don't see much to go to for some help, but I felt like making post.
After a while, I've been using Bell Canada on my phone without any issues, but I never tried voicemails or calls. Recently, trying to get into my telegram account cause they won't send a SMS (For what ever reason), the app offered to call my phone, waiting for the timer to tick down before they call my phone, it just shut it's self off.
I was aware of my phone crashing due to voice mails, cause before I activated my sim card, I had a voicemail that wouldn't go away, trying to view it, the phone would crash. I was hoping this would've been fixed after a couple updates, but it doesn't seem like it was fixed at all. I can't even tell if this issue is my problem (the phone/sim card) or cyanogenmod.
If anyone knows any fixes for this, I'd be really happy, because currently my phone is useless to most things I'd use it for, other than SMS."

On the reddit post, the user that was replying to it did mention something about c-apps not being compatible with Cyanogenmod 13.0 and told me to try to uninstall it, but when I tried to uninstall it through adb, apparently such a directory doesn't exist. I do hope I can get some help here, because I'm currently on a plan with unlimited text and calls, paying alot of money for it, but one feature is completely useless.

--Something I want to add, I tried the same sim card in my HTC One M7 running Android 5.1, calls worked perfectly fine with it.

Anyway to turn off the EDGE screen sensitivity?

I have owned my S7 Edge for a couple of months. But still cannot get used to the sensitivity of the screen edges. I can't hold the phone or use it without the folds of my hands touching the edge of screen and causing unwanted screen presses and activations. I find it almost impossible to use this device in one hand due to this.......

I was hoping that there might be a way to reduce or turnoff the screen edges sensitivity...... Does anyone have any suggestions.

And before anyone suggested a case, I don't want to use a case as that defeats the look of this phone IMHO.

How can I backup everything on my rooted N4? (Every single thing)

This might seem like a newbie question but this isn't the case.

I already know Titanium backup exists and I have been using it for years. However a few months back I suffered from the ''infamous brick'' seen everywhere on this thread caused by the unofficial CM13 ROM.

This brick corrupted everything on my phone (EFS Partition, etc) and the ONLY thing i could ever boot into was the recovery.

2 months and $150 later in repairs (literally everyone failed to fix it software-side) I learned my lesson


I need to back up my entire phone incase something like this happens again. What app should I use, and what should I back up?

FFU backup to restore a the original version if you don't like the update

Hello

I would like to backup the current firmware my 1020 is using (Lumia Black), to be able to flash this very same version back, in case I have problems or don't like Cyan or Denim.

How do I do that? I read on http://ift.tt/1snGTlY that :"don't flash a dumped ffu (from ffureader mode of a working device), as even though it might work, DPP will conflict and phone OVK will be invalidated, requiring you to obtain and enter a PVK to add MSA/access store/etc"

Is there a right way to do that with thor2? Can I get more information about backing up the DPP, OVK and PVK? Anything else I should be aware of?

If there is no way, how can I download an old version (lumia black or another WP8.0) for a Telus RM877, product code 059T790?

The only link I see on http://ift.tt/1U8lCmM is 3051.50009.1424.0000 which is cyan, while I think I need 3051.40000.1347.1001

I'm thinking of cooking a custom rom following http://ift.tt/1NoX3OT but that would be quite complicated to just backup an old version :(

Moto e (indian version) flashing error

So, here is the problem i am facing with my moto E
I followed the tutorials from this site and had flashed my MOTO E to stock ROM 3-4 times due to different reasons, i was successfully able to do that using the STOCK ROM that i had for android kitkat 4.4.4. Last month i updated my moto E to android lollipop. After that it kept asking me to install a 12MB update which i tried installing quite some times but was not able to install. It showed some error while installing the same. So, i started ignoring that. A couple of days ago i once again tried to install that update and after installing the update when the phone turned on, it logged on into FASTBOOT MENU saying:
hab check failed for boot
failed to validate boot image
Fastboot reason: Fall-through from normal boot mode
So, i thought Flashing it once again might solve the issue. When i tried flashing it, on the command screen it givesERROR for three files i.e. boot.img, system.img_sparsechunk.0, system.img_sparsechunk.1, system.img_sparsechunk.2 saying::
<bootloader> invalid signed image
<bootloader> preflash validation failed
And on my phone screen it says "Invalid PIV signed image"
For all other instructions it says OKAY
Now it is again and again turning ON into this fastboot mode only...
Since i already had flashed my moto using the same custom rom , i think the files must be okay...
PLEASE HELP :'(

Battery problem - SOLVED

Hello,

I have been flashing away a few roms recently because I am testing their battery efficiency (http://ift.tt/1NZK0ua) and I run into a battery problem. My SOT went from 4h to 2h literally overnight. At first I thought it was the kernel I had at the time but I restored a previous fulmics 5.2 back up that I had and the problem persisted. I checked for wakelocks, there were the usual amount, I resetted battery stats and did nothing. I went back to stock by flashing the stock zips that you can find on xda and did nothing. I finally followed the intructions in this thread http://ift.tt/1pSMrgJ to go fully back to stock (LG flash tool, CSE flash) and it worked its magic. I am back to 4h SOT.

I believe my battery got messed up because I flashed a rom with less than 20% battery left and charging. This may or may not be the reason why this happened I am not an expert but it happened right after I did that.

Just got the edge, protection help?

"Galaxy S7 Edge Case, Spigen® [Tough Armor] EXTREME Protection [Gunmetal] Rugged Slim Dual Layer Protective Case for Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge" - I can't post url's yet but that case looks similar to the case i currently have.

i purchased my s7 edge and got a case similar to the one above (pretty slim, case has the label 'slimarmor' on it. probably a knockoff of the one above, and its relatively slim and sturdy. I have seen stories of the unlucky few who have dropped their phone from low heights and managed to crack their screen, and have also seen drop tests from 5 feet where not a single scratch was made on the front screen. either way I'd prefer to be protected while not having an extremely bulky case. Should I keep my current case? it only protects the sides and the back of the phone and its still not the thickest case (not the thinnest either). And screenprotector? One that fits and will provide some decent protection without effecting anything else too much?

Xperia Z2 Network problem

Hi community.
Since I updated to marshmallow, I've been facing this problem that irritates me to a high level ! When I was on lollipop, everything was smooth as hell and soo stable, but now there are a lot of bugs. Anyway let's talk about the MVProblem.

I can't receive nor make phone calls when cellular data is active, and can't get LTE all the time even if I register on LTE network and make prefrences to LTE and wcdma etc.. The phone goes back to wcdma preffered all the time.
I just want to know if this is related to marshmallow, a hardware problem or software since i flashed a phillipean ftf?

Moto G 2015 rebooting when I try to make a call (cm-13.0-20160528-NIGHTLY-osprey)

My phone is rebooting when I press the call button after typing the number. I'm using Cyanogenmod 13 (cm-13.0-20160528-NIGHTLY-osprey). This a huge bug and I want to let the devs know.

FB Messenger Alternative

I honestly made the best decision ever of removing the Facebook app from my phone, with it installed, my phone would drain 20% of battery overnight even with greenify. With it removed, I lost only 5% battery, couldn't be happier.

However, with that said, I use the alternative client Swipe, I really like it for normal browsing, but not the Messenger feature. I still have the FB Messenger app due to its calling,emoji, sticker, etc features, but man is it a resource hog. According to the wake lock detector, it woke my device 58 times.

Do any of you know of any other client alternative to the current messenger app with a better theme than the one in Swipe with the same features as current FB Messenger app. Not too fond of Swipe's messenger as it just loads the mobile site version, its features are limited.

If not, do any of you know how to restrict the app properly to not wake my device so often? Greenify seems to have no effect

This rom is actually experimental, and for xperia Z4 tablet wifi only (SGP712).
It's not usable for daily usage. Always keep a backup of important files.

WARNING : THIS IS AN EXPERIMENTAL ROM, DON'T INSTALL THIS ROM IF YOU DON'T KNOW EXACTLY WHAT YOUR ARE DOING !

Your warranty may be voided ! I am not responsible for bricked devices, dead SD cards, thermonuclear war, or you getting fired because the alarm app failed. Please do some research if you have any concerns about features included in this ROM before flashing it! YOU are choosing to make these modifications.

Issues:

- Back camera focus: image is blurred
- Bluetooth keyboard is laggy after waked the tablet (disactivate, then reactivate bluetooth temporary solve the problem)
- Recovery don't work with this kernel (you can use «fastboot boot boot.img» with Androplus kernel to acces TWRP)
- Probably again a lot of issues to discover . . .


How to install

- Unlock your bootloader (you can save your TA partition before)
- Update your firmware to the last Marshmallow version (needed to update the bootloader, kernel will not boot if you use the Lollipop bootloader)
- Install AndroPlus kernel and TWRP
- Make a backup
- Push the rom's zip on the SD card (optionnaly with gapps)
- Wipe System, Data, Cache, Dalvik cache
- Install the rom (and gapps if you want)
- Reboot
- Enjoy, and report bugs :)

FFU backup to restore a the original version if you don't like the update

Hello

I would like to backup the current firmware my 1020 is using (Lumia Black), to be able to flash this very same version back, in case I have problems or don't like Cyan or Denim.

How do I do that? I read on http://ift.tt/1snGTlY that :"don't flash a dumped ffu (from ffureader mode of a working device), as even though it might work, DPP will conflict and phone OVK will be invalidated, requiring you to obtain and enter a PVK to add MSA/access store/etc"

Is there a right way to do that with thor2? Can I get more information about backing up the DPP, OVK and PVK? Anything else I should be aware of?

If there is no way, how can I download an old version (lumia black or another WP8.0) for a Telus RM877, product code 059T790?

X2 keeps setting back the default SMS app

I have a 701 with stock ROM, unrooted and unmodified. I am using Contact+ as default phone and sms app.

Contacts+ is set stable as default phone app, but the phone resets to use it's standard sms app once in a while, and always after reboot

Is there anything that can be done to set default sms app permanently?

Review: MKBHD dBrand Skins for OnePlus 2

Review for the MKBHD dBrand Skins for OnePlus 2

Why I got the skins
I am subscribed to the Massdrop newsletter which I saw a skin pack from MKBHD by dbrand, containing a black, white and red skin for the back of the phone. I checked for which devices these skins where available for and lo and behold it was available for the OnePlus 2, so I ordered them straight away

Packaging
After receiving the skins, I was actually quite impressed with the packaging by both Massdrop and dbrand. In the picture below you can see it was held in a plastic wallet with a cover on it. The over contains the MKBHD logo and on the back there's some social media links to MKBHD, nothing too much special on the cover.

Package contents
The package contained three skins: black, white, red and their accompanying OnePlus logos (also in those three colours). Nothing too special in this aspect as the skins are what you expect them to be. They are thick carbon fibre textured, high quality skins. The cutouts are absolutely perfect on the skins. Also dbrand has given us 4 logo cutouts per colour, so don't worry about messing it up. I luckily did it in one go so that means I could potentially use the cutouts again.

Applying the skin
dbrand are very helpful in this aspect, they provide you a video which can be found on their website on how to apply a skin to your specific device. The application on the OnePlus 2 was quite easy as you can align the cutout of the skin to the camera to make it fit perfectly. It took me a couple of times trying but I managed to do it (I used my sandstone cover). I am not giving you a guide on here so if you want to know how to apply your skin just check the video out on their website. The logo cutouts were a bit fiddly as they are very small but like I mentioned above you have 4 different individual logo cutouts.

Durability
I have used this skin quite extensively over the past 4 weeks and I have to say that this skin is quite solid, so far no marks or tears on the skin. Big ups to dbrand creating these high quality skins. I will of course update this thread if it eventually does.

Final verdict
I give these skins a 8.5/10. I can explain why I have given this score. The skins are absolutely perfect until I what I noticed a few days ago. I wanted to take my cover of to replace it with another styleswap cover, but noticed that the skin was covering the area where you would normally clip of the cover. dbrand could've very easily fixed this by just adding a small indent so you can still take of your cover. I had to DIY cut it off with a razor blade but left a few scuffs. That is why I have given this product a 8.5/10

Asus Zenfone Go(Z00VD) bootloop & stuck at Recovery Mode.Anything to do?

Im new at this forum.I visited here lots of times to get some information about Kernels,ROMs.unlocking process..vs Sorry if this thread is already opened but I have nothing to do.I visited every forum,every material that I found but I have nothing now.
First of all, I just bought my z00vd 2 weeks ago with speaker problem. I sent it warranty because of it but they sent me without fixing.I just wanted to root the phone to fix the problem.After I root my phone nothing happened.Then I just wanted to unroot it to sent it warranty again. I did something wrong.

I just type the cmd "fastboot oem lock" then I reboot the phone. It is in bootloop now. I cannot reach to the recovery mode also. When I click recovery mode its freeze with Asus logo.. I tried some other things like "fastboot erase cache" also not working in fastboot mode.It gives me an error LIKE " FAILED <remote:unkonwn command>

Do you guys have any idea about this problem? I just want to recover my phone stock mode and send to warranty again.

Problem installing not incremental ROM

Well I have tried to install MIUI ROM 6.5.26 after not processing updates for months (since november).
So I downloaded latest ROM and put it to the top of the partitions and then I wiped everything and that's where i might have done a mistake: I wiped internal storage (inside TWRP 2.8.7 i found there http://ift.tt/22upQes) then I might have might done a second mistake: I have done the command fastboot 'flash boot boot.img' as I read on an old HTC forum.
Then I pushed the latest ROM to the phone (as it was not there after the wipes) and when I tried installing it, it gave E: unable to mount 'cache' .
Now it seems i cannot enter TWRP, only Fastboot or I am stuck with MI logo.
I just want to install latest ROM, as I have done Titanium Backup before all the mess.
I don't know where i should start.

[Q] a little help sorting out the best option for BL please?

Hello all, today i came very close to joining this new forum after my z1compact died a few days ago and his replacement arrived today.
Unfortunately first thing i checked was BL status and for the first time since i got into android i got a BL allowed "NO"
I just can't live without root so i immediately went for a return and refund.
Now what should i do?
The messed up thing is that this phone has pricings which follow no sense, it goes from 300€ up to 900€ from seller to seller.
A**zon has two listings, one listed as Germany and one Italy, which i believe is related to the warranty it comes with. I bought the german/european version, (50€ cheaper also) thinking it was more likely to be "oem" and thus open BL. Then i checked better the listing and it says in product description "Wind, Italy" so perhaps it was ment for a carrier and thus the unlockable BL?
I have 4 options now,
1) Re-buy from the same seller (it also went down 20€ from last week) and hope for the best
2) Buy from the same listing but another seller (i only chose that coz it shipped through prime but i don't really care about that)
3) Buy from the other available option which has Italy in the title rather than germany (and no Wind carrier indication) alas it is 60-70€ more expensive
4) Buy from a seller outside of A**zon, here I have way cheaper options and descriptions are either "Europe" or "Italy", the only downturn here is that eventual returns in case of something going wrong, are considerably harder if not unconceivable compared to the big guy Am.

From my stats you can see I tried giving my contributions to this community and would like to do the same for which i need unlockable bl and root, so....
Wat do?

No camera after flashing Resurrection Remix v5.6.5 on lenovo a6000

I have a problem.
I flashed RR v5.6.5 over stock lollipop rom and now everytime I launch camera app, it says "Camera Error: Can't connect to camera" even CM camera fixer isn't working.
I tried two kernels God's Kernel r2 and Phantom, but neither helped.
Now i wanna know if there is a stock lenovo a6000 64bit kernel, that I can use or just a solution to the camera not working.

Samsung S4 mini (GT-I9192) Boot loop

Hi, can anyone help me?

Samsung S4 Mini (GT-I9192) is stuck on boot logo, after unexpectedly turned off on normal android update. Tried so many tutorials but nothing works. Nothing!

How to flash with a bootloop

Hello people,

I use a Desire 816G Mediatek variant and was rooted with kingo root.

I confirmed a 10 mb android security update and while installing the update the phone faced an error and now it doesn't boot.

When I try to boot the phone the dead droin icon comes up with "no command" text, if I do nothing it waits for a while and reboots again to the same screen and keeps looping.

If I press the power button I get to the system recovery menu. From there I tried "wipe data/factory reset" and "wipe cache partition" but didn't work.

I can't get to HBOOT or anything else in that matter bot just boot looping or the recovery menu, I found a rom at the needrom site but can't know how to flash it to the phone to save it.

Can you please help me and tell me how I can do that?

Port ubuntu touch: segmentation fault (core dumped)

I follow guide on ubuntu website to build my own ubuntu touch image to my phone and stuck on build your first Ubuntu image for a Nexus 4 and don't know how to fix it.

All previous steps i complied without any errors. To check it I do it for second time.

Swiftkey??? Is being acquired by Microsoft as we speak!!!!

Let me start of by saying: whoa!!! I know this has been in the works for a couple months so this may not be news to those who have adamantly been following Swiftkey's every move(pun intended). But for those of you who are just now tuning in :confused::confused::confused: like myself WTF man.

So to tell you how I stumbled upon this, I was casually using the "God-forbidden" Google keyboard and being that I have big fingers I tend to use gesture input more often than not and Google's prediction is still lackluster compared to my trusty Swiftkey, I thought, while remembering that when I did a clean wipe to install PureNexus I forgot to install Swiftkey. So I proceeded to complete such a task straight away, however in the process of "click PlayStore" "Search SwiftKey" "Install Swiftkey" and I did something everyone rarely does after install, I read the :mad:Terms of Service:mad:

And Now here I am shocked and appalled. I don't know why but I honestly didn't mind that they ported to iOS and such (which I also didn't know til today) but the Microsoft move is dealbreaker for me. R.I.P Swiftkey. Its only a matter of time and I'm the type to cut ties before the worse happens. I loved you like a stepbrother' adopted child. You shall be remembered for the good times and not the bad.

Error in re installing of marshmallow

Hello i have android one canvas a1 (AQ4501) mobile. it was fully updated till 25th may 2016. One day suddenly it was showing again n again that "Google play has been stopped. Deleted keyboard and now stuck on setup wizard

So I factory reset by LG Leon LTE H345 by T-Mobile the other day without realizing i deleted my keyboard with my root permissions. Now I can't enter my google account in the setup wizard as the voice recognition isn't accurate enough. Without this, I can't complete the setup and I'm stuck on this step. Someone please help! I've tried similar threads but none of them gave me a working solution as USB debugging and bluetooth aren't on. My research is getting me nowhere and I really don't know how to fix this :crying::crying:

Balong and getting 6.0

Hello there.

I tried to flash 6.0 by ADB and got bootlooped so I came back to B170 then tried to do update to B188 but at 5% it throws error ("software install failed") so I got few questions:

1. How do I fix the Balong bug? I have heard something about "firmware" folder but don't know how do I do it.
2. Can I upgrade to 6.0 without having sd card?
3. How do I fix error when installing via local update? It never works for me, always throws errors, maybe I should get different recovery or something?

Downgrade NOTE 3 Canadian variant N900W8 (Rogers)

Hi all,

I am currently on the newest version of android for note 3, 5.0, bootloader end with DOH1. I am tired of using lollipop now so I want to downgrade to the stock firmware 4.3. I did try to do it by using Odin few months ago but failed. The reason maybe that Samsung doesn't allow the downgrade of bootloader so I have to stick with lollipop for good. Just want to confirm whether that true? And is there any way to get around it? I don't care to tirp the KNox counter at all as I am out of the warrenty period anyway. Preferably official firmware instead of custom Rom.

note 5 - USB not recognised and it never fast charge

about two months the phone stop fast charging and doesn't get recognised by the pc

the thing I tried :-
* try different USB cables ( 2 came with the phone - 2 new once )

Info on creating android casting app.

Hello guys, I've created before very standard android apps with streaming links to lets say a football channels or golf, what I want to know is there software or a guide in creating an app with the casting option so i could cast to my chromecast? i know its not so easy but I'd like some info to get me started if anyone can provide it, I've got Android Studio installed and I'm assuming that's a start.

All I want to create is a bog standard app that once you click on a stream there is an option to cast over to the chromecast, I know I can screencast already but was looking to try something different. Any info or help would be greatly appreciated guys. thanks alot

G530T1 soft-bricked, attempting to fix

Okay, I got this phone recently and I rooted yesterday using kingoroot, I messed with a few things and restarted and BAM it's stuck on the metro PCS boot screen.
Now I've been following this guide: http: // appslova. com/tutorial-recover-soft-bricked-android/ (delete spaces) to try and fix it. I've downloaded the right ROM and custom recovery and everything(I'm pretty sure), but I'm stuck on the step recognizing the device, using "fastboot devices". I realized that my phone does not go to the bootloader menu but rather it's stuck on a screen that says ODIN MODE and info about my device, and in the middle it just says Downloading... Do not turn off target. I simply cannot figure out how to bypass this. I'm a noob when it comes to this type of thing, but I just want to fix my phone. Any advice would be strongly appreciated, thanks.

power save gps ( network location ) and kernel adiutor

Gps via wifi or 3g, doesnt work after you click on test or when kernel adiutor apply its settings at boot.
I tried some mods of KA, and no sucess. Tried chaning gps confs, using faster gps, no sucess too. Tried multiple roms, multiple kernels, and no sucess.
if anything from any section is applied, the gps via network stops working.
This is in ANY custom rom.
Does anyone have a solution to this, or maybe help finding a solution? i'm going crazy... i want so badly to use a custom rom, but this is the only issue i'm experiencing that i need, and it works perfectly in stock miui rom.
Please help me, and everyone that may be experiencing this :'( lol

[Q]How to regain root Advantages with root....[ASAP]

A recent update of this app I use for my job recently stop me from accessing it with root. I know there are methods to bypass this using "RootCLoak" and others but I am unable to do so. Now I have to get my phone unrooted by the end of the day so I can use this app tomorrow for my job that is absolutely needed or else I can't work. I'm asking to see what is available to non rooted devices to mimic root features. I have never had an unrooted phone for longer than 24hrs so this is why I don't want to unroot my phone, and also I will be losing so much.

Nexus 6 - T-Mobile - Not connecting to LTE

I just got my wife a Nexus 6 from Craigslist. I foolishly didn't 100% test the phone and I think I got a lemon or something.

Her phone has never connected to LTE. I've tried manually changing APNs, swapping SIM cards with my phone to see if the card is bad, checking the phone settings by dialing *#*#4636#*#*, etc... And everything is identical to my Nexus 6 with no luck. I went to a T-Mobile store just now and they couldn't figure anything out.

Two questions:
1. Is there anything else I can do to get LTE activated?
2. Can an LTE radio be damaged or disabled somehow?

I'm at my wit's end here... I'm hoping y'all can help me get it fixed.

Help—upgradibg system fail, stuck on recovery mode

So my tablet's model is Bluewave 8 HD + (Rockchip 33GT or something like that) and I decided to update my system through wireless update. So I downloaded it, and clicked update now. By that time I had 35% of battery left.

However, it says that it was an error. I think there were "Installation aborted" and "Error 7" and that stuff. It was on fastboot/recovery mode.

Now, I obviously couldn't select other options apart from reboot system now since my tablet doesn't have volume buttons. The buttons are on the screen. So my option is to reboot and go to the same process again— system update (Android is loading something like an object or stuff), error, and reboot.

I watched a video where clicking the reset button with the power button will move the selection down, so that it won't be reboot system now but it doesn't work for me. Whenever I do that (and as well as holding power and reset button {it is the little hole on the back where I need to poke it inside with a bent paperclip}, it just turns the screen off like a hard reset.

I can't also connect to a computer. Although my computer detects it as an "Android Phone and the Android Boot blah blah", software's doesn't detect the device.

I can't remove battery either because the back is inseparable.

Any fix? I really need to get it running well ASAP.

ZeroLemon LG G3 8500mAh Extended Battery + Rugged ZeroShock Review

Hello everyone!
First and foremost, I would like to once again thank Zerolemon for sending me yet another product to review. As the title states, it's a 8500mAh extended battery by ZeroLemon for the LG G3 that also comes with its own ZeroShock rugged case.
I only do honest reviews to help companies improve both their current and future products, but to also give an idea to others of what to expect, but also what I think about the product and how well it works.
It has been around one week now since I received the Zerolemon for LG G3 and so far i'm very impressed! It's meeting up to its expectations, both with normal and heavy uses. I'm getting more than double the battery life (compared to the original LG G3 battery) on heavy use and the phone lasts me for about two whole days in standby mode with a full charge (that means charging the phone to 100% and then leave it without touching it until the battery is fully discharged). So as of now, I can't really complain about the performance as it is doing as expected. I previously did a review on the Zerolemon for the Nexus 5 and the material that they used for the case was actually worse than the one they used for the LG G3 case. The LG G3 case has more of a soft and bendable plastic compared to the Nexus 5 version which had more of a stiff/harder plastic. The ports are much more convenient to use on the LG G3 due to the softer plastic material, on the Nexus 5 on the other hand, the plastic seems to be stiffer so the port protection plugs tend to bend back after a few uses and hardly stay back in place (I found that to be very annoying!). All the buttons work like a charm (like always, so far on all the Zerolemon products that I've had).

Here are the PROS and CONS about the ZeroLemon for LG G3.

PROS:
* Good grip! Almost impossible to have the phone slip out of your hand(s).
* Does a good job taking a beating! You can basically drop it without worrying that it will break. Just like they state "Double Corner Technology to reduce shock from natural drop angles". However, it might still shatter the screen on impact since it's glass.
* The phone lasts more than twice as long! Battery feels like a thing of the past and the least of my concern both after normal and heavy use. :)
* The port protection plugs are doing an amazing job due to the quality and is no longer a pain to deal with! If it takes softer plastic for better performance, then please stick with that as I'm very pleased. :D



CONS:
* Too thick? It doesn't feel that comfortable to walk around with and after a while it will leave a mark on my jeans. The phone is clearly sticking out on my jeans (I also have the Zerolemon for the LG G4 that I purchased which has the same problem when it comes to thickness). I do understand that the thickness is mostly because of the battery size and the way that the phone was made, but I think that we can all agree on thinner batteries that does about the same job by taking less volume and possibly more area (kind of like the Zerolemon batteries for the Samsung S6).
* Heavy. This is not Zerolemon's fault, but it's still a CON in general. I personally wouldn't like my phone to become heavier, bigger and/or thicker just so that I can get more out of the phone. I personally hate limits and like to get as much as possible from a phone with as little weight and thickness (I would say size, but that doesn't completely apply since screen size is important).
I personally can't wait until Zerolemon releases an extended battery for the LG G5! 

Android N And TMobile preferred network issue

I am using my nexus 6p on T-Mobile with the latest Android n beta. I have been having alot of issues where I am getting an exclamation point with no data next to my signal indicator. Either lte or E. When going into phone menu using *#*4636#*#.. my preferred network is lte/cdma/umts prl auto.... is this normal? . Prior to android n the preferred network was lte/gsm/cdma prl auto. Is this the same for everybody? . I would think gsm would be needed for T-Mobile. Not sure what umts is or if it even pertains to tmobile. I am having a feeling that I am getting exclamation point next to lte and E because the signal is weak and there is no gsm to fall back to. Is this normal in android n or a possible issue? . Also under android n there is no option for lte/gsm/cdma prl auto.... only one that mentions gsm is gsm only or gsm prl auto..but nothing that includes lte with it. Please help. Thanks

flashed modem and now get a bad signal?

I flashed pheonix rom and followed the guide and did this...I didnt make a note of what i had before and now my signal is very poor all the time when im in the same places that i had good signal before.

Is there a better modem to try or test? i dont know how you find out which is the better modems?

Xposed not working anymore

Hey there,

I tried to install Xposed (sdk23, arm64) and Xposed Installer says everything is okay an Xposed framework is active.
But all my installed modules aren't working. YouTube AdAway says the module is not active and gravitybox shows that it can't connect to gravitybox system framework.
Of course I activated all modules and rebooted.
Any ideas what's wrong?

Obsolete kernel values?

Ayo folks , i tried to tweak a bit some kernel options and discovered that our device LOVES low readaheads .
So i pushed the internal memory readahead to 96kb (under this there is no improvement) with kernel toolbox and there : magic , the device gets snappier , benchs get significant improvement but overall performance explodes: latency got from 70ms (stock no modification) to 29MS!!
You can try yourself :
Scheduler : ROW
Internal card readahead : 96 or 64kb
Entropy read: 128
Entropy write : 1024

Free up internal memory, how?

It would seem that Verizon has omitted the adoptive internal storage feature in Marshmallow, while at the same time marshmallow drops the apps to sd ability. WTF??!?! I tried using an SD card all pre-formatted, partitioned, ready for using. Damn tablet saw the card as corrupt and only option was to have it format as portable. What else can be tried?

Pictures keep disappearing

Hi all! I love this forum and I would greatly appreciate any help you can give me.

I recently upgraded from the HTC one m8 to the HTC 10 and I noticed that sometimes when I take pictures they completely disappear. They're there for a short while then I can't find them again even when I connect the phone to my PC. I can't change the camera settings to store the pics on the device rather than the SD card. For some reason it won't let me change it. Also sometimes when I take a screenshot I get an error saying that it couldn't store it on the SD card because the app doesn't have permission or sometimes it says that there's no room on the SD card. Both are untrue.

I went to a comic convention today and took some good pics, I went to upload one to twitter but I think there was a network problem because nothing online was loading so I restarted my phone and then the pic (and the others I'd taken during that day) had disappeared. I took more pics and double checked they were in the gallery, which they were only to find they have gone missing now.

Is this a device issue or an Android issue? Any help would be great, I'd love to get these pics back.
